About the Founder

Rick Trojan brings over 21 years of entrepreneurial expertise, global networks, and passion to the Hemp community. Motivated by extensive history, positive impact and the plant itself, Trojan understands the need to accurately portray the benefits of a once flourishing plant stigmatized through a century of propaganda.

Trojan constantly strives to build a platform to encourage Hemp and its positive impacts through strategic alliances. His journey began as a personal experience that launched his passion for this cause, creating the Hemp Road Trip in 2015. Since then Trojan has toured the USA four times, visiting 49 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Europe and South America, learning from leaders in every sector hemp can impact.

Rick Trojan is now taking his education to other continents where cannabis legalization has led to an industrial boom. Trojan’s work helps build foundations, erect bridges, and grow international networks to unite the industry.  In these efforts he is leading organizations and serving as a board vice-president to the following:
-Industrial Hemp Research Foundation – university researched based non-profit
-Hemp Industries Association (national) – oldest and largest national trade association
And board member to following:
-Colorado Hemp Industries Association (state) – a local trade association
-Intertribal Hemp Cooperative – the national association for native progress
-Business advisor to the National Hemp Association – national association specific to hemp

Trojan takes his passion,  extensive business experience, and global cannabis networks on tour.  Join the journey and virtually hop on the bus as the Hemp Road Trip visits more continents in a quest for cannabis freedom.

About Our Purpose

Hemp Road Trip was founded in 2015 to raise awareness and advocate for hemp, a once flourishing plant that has been stigmatized by society. Since then we have conducted nationwide tours educating citizens,  influencing state senators and representatives, and promoting domestic hemp businesses. Our journey continues as we step on the bus again to promote our cause and change the perception of hemp one stop at a time.
