This recipe is wonderful for those who are conscious of wanting an energy ball that is dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, wheat-free, plant-based. It is made with soaked sun-dried dates, ground almonds, cinnamon and hemp seed. Delicious and nutritious for all.
Serves: 10 balls
1 cup sun-dried dates
3 tablespoons shelled hemp seed
¾ cup ground almonds
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of vanilla extract
1 heaped tablespoon of raw cacao powder
Soak 1 cup dates for 2 hours (or until they are already soft).
After 2 hours drain the dates into a bowl.
Add the hemp seeds and vanilla extract. Blend well.
Combine the cinnamon and almonds with blended mixture.
Mix together with a spoon before adding the cacao powder.
Combine again until mixture is well formed and you can make little ball shapes.
